MISSED LESSON POLICY

Hello,

This missed lesson policy is being implemented to stabilise the income of our teachers and ensure the business continues to meet it's financial obligations into the future.

If a student misses a lesson for any reason, there will  be no obligation for Yodelay Music to issue a refund, schedule a make-up lesson or carry lesson credits forward to the next term, even if prior notice is given for an absence. The teacher will endeavour to organise a catch-up lesson throughought the term, but there is no guarantee that this will occur due to the busy nature of the space and our very tight weekly scheduling.

At the schools that Yodelay provides music staff to, we endeavour to account for planned school events such as camps and excursions ahead of time on the invoices. This being the case, missed lessons are unavoidable at times where neither party is at fault. We will discuss situations that arise with teachers, parents and caregivers and will make a final decision on a case-by-case basis regarding refunding or crediting lessons.

Where a Yodelay teacher has cancelled a lesson due to their own illness or absence, a catch-up lesson, refund or  credit for the next term will be provided.

If you know of an upcoming trip or family holiday that will significantly impact lessons during the term, let me know and we will endeavour to make something.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further.

Regards,

Michael Di Cecco
